Triptakeo ("we", "us") helps travellers discover destinations that fit their budget and lifestyle. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Search inputs you provide, such as your total budget, trip length, departure airport, travel month, number of travellers, comfort level, and ranked lifestyle preferences.
• Feedback you choose to give, such as your answer to "Was this helpful?" on your results and any note you add, together with that search's budget, trip length, departure airport, and top destination.
• Email address, if you choose to subscribe to destination ideas or contact us.
• Basic usage data collected through Google Analytics, such as pages visited, referrer, device type, and approximate location derived from IP address.

How we use your data

• To generate personalised destination recommendations.
• To improve the product — understanding which destinations, budgets, and preferences are most useful to travellers.
• To send occasional destination ideas by email, only if you have opted in.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics sets cookies to help us measure aggregate traffic and behaviour. We do not use these cookies to identify you personally.

Affiliate tracking disclosure

Triptakeo uses affiliate links to partners Expedia and Booking.com (via CJ Affiliate). If you click through and complete a booking on their site, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These links carry the destination and, for Booking.com, your travel dates and number of travellers so the partner can show matching options; they never include your name or contact details. Those partners may set their own cookies once you leave Triptakeo — please see their respective privacy policies.

Saved trips

Trips you save with the heart button are stored only in your browser, on your device. They are never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes them.

When you click through to Booking.com (via our affiliate network, CJ), we pass your trip details — dates, number of adults and children, and children's ages — so they can show matching rooms. We don't pass names or contact details.

Data storage

Search inputs, feedback, and email addresses are stored on Supabase, our backend infrastructure provider. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and access is restricted to Triptakeo systems.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you at any time. Contact us at triptakeo@gmail.com and we will respond as soon as possible.
